How a River Controls project runs, from the first conversation to long after handover.
Four Stages
Discovery, design, implementation, and support.
Every project follows the same four stages, shaped to the client and the space rather than a fixed methodology. We always work alongside your integrator. The price is agreed up front, based on the size of the project and the platform you choose, and there is no ongoing fee.
Stage 01
Discovery
We listen before any technology is proposed.
Every project begins with a conversation about the building and the people in it: the architectural intent, daily routines, priorities, and expectations. Your integrator is part of that conversation from the start.
From this we write a technology brief: guiding principles rather than a product list. It sets the direction for the design and everything that follows.
You receive: a technology brief.
Stage 02
Experience Design
Every screen is designed with you, around how the space is used.
Our designers turn the brief into an interface that brings lighting, climate, security, audio-visual, and network systems together in one place. We design each screen with you and refine it until it looks and works the way you want.
Nothing is built until you approve the design.
You receive: the complete interface design, for your approval.
Stage 03
Technology Implementation
We write the interface and the programming from scratch.
With the design approved, our programmers build it: the interface as a native iOS app or a web app, and the Crestron programming behind it in C#, or connected to the program your integrator has already written in SIMPL, Crestron’s own programming tool.
Technology touches every trade, so we coordinate with your integrator and with the electrical, mechanical, millwork, and lighting teams. That reduces conflicts, avoids costly revisions, and protects the design.
You receive: the finished interface and programming, ready for commissioning.
Stage 04
Handover & Support
Tested, handed over, and looked after.
At handover, the system is tested, validated, and brought online as designed, and we take you and your team through it until everyone is confident using it.
After that we remain a long-term partner. As needs change, we refine or extend the system, and there is no ongoing fee.
You receive: a tested system, guidance for everyone who uses it, and a team to call.
